About Roma women’s Activism in Valea Seacă

In this short video material, we have gathered seven years of work in the Valea Seacă community, a time in which we’ve formed and consolidated an initiative group of Roma women with as diverse and intersectional experiences as possible, who have learned over time to show solidarity, to support and encourage each other, and to claim their rights before local public authorities. We are overjoyed that these community organizing and participation models were also taken over by the young Roma girls, so they have also started to organize and practice the patterns learned from the Roma women in the community and us.
